We provide assessment and intervention for the following:

  • Speech-language delay
  • Spoken language difficulties due to autism and other neuro-developmental disorders
  • Reading difficulties in school-age children

We also provide a second opinion on your child’s assessment results and intervention plans if you have already had your child evaluated and he or she is receiving services.

We conduct assessment and intervention in the child’s natural communicative environment, such as at home during playtime. Typically, appointments are scheduled in the early evening hours (between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.) for the convenience of working families.

Our intervention approach focuses on the child’s natural communication environment and the use of parent-implemented communication-interaction training. Our program involves home-based intensive parent training in carrying out day-to-day conversations in order to enhance the child’s vocabulary and early language skills. We meet the parent(s) and the child in the home once per week and enlist the active participation of the parents in the child’s treatment for the first 4 weeks. We also use assistive technology (e.g., iPads) for improving social communication skills. After the first 4 weeks, regular follow-ups are scheduled every month to reexamine the intervention plan and to make suggestions regarding the child’s communication skills during social-interactions. Consultations with child’s pediatrician, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist and the child’s classroom teacher are carried out to monitor the child’s use of the newly learned language and communication skills in a variety of environments.

Only cash is accepted for our consultation and treatment services. Payment may be made by cash or check. We do not participate in Medicaid or public assistance programs. You are responsible for paying the full fee amount. You can submit the claim to your insurance company yourself, and we will provide all the documentation necessary for the claim.

Fee Schedule

An initial assessment is essential before treatment sessions start. However, if you have had a speech and language assessment of your child performed in past six months, this assessment requirement may be waived.

Our assessment and intervention sessions are charged on an hourly basis. Our rates are based on the family’s combined annual income, and we charge 0.001% of your annual income per hour for the assessment and intervention sessions. For example, if your total family income is $75,000, you pay $75 per hour. To calculate the hourly fees for assessment and intervention sessions, multiply your annual income as reported on the W-22 form by 0.001. The base rate for all intervention sessions after the initial evaluation is a minimum of $75.00/session, irrespective of annual income. Approximately 2 to 3 hours are required for the initial assessment.

Our intention is to offer our services at a reasonable cost. If you have difficulties with or concerns about our fees, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to discuss the options with you.
